JONATHAN Is Clear To Contest Elections
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja today dismissed a suit challenging President Goodluck Jonathan’s eligibility to seek a second term in office, Daily Trust reports.

He is bidding for a second term in office but a suit was lodged at the court alleging that he is constitutionally ineligible for a second term on the grounds that a second term would result in his exceeding the maximum period of tenure allowed.

The High Court in Abuja has now dismissed the suit against Jonathan, and therefore gives him the all-clear to contest the forthcoming elections.
